The Smile Design Centre
At Smile Design Centre, we pride ourselves on comprehensive examination, thorough treatment planning, patient comfort and satisfaction. Since we moved to our new premises in 2014, we have enjoyed significant patient support. We understand that dental visits can be stressful at times, therefore we strive to make each patient’s appointment as comfortable as possible. We continuously educate our dentists and staff in order to bring the latest techniques and materials to our practice. We only use state of the art equipment to provide the best service to our patients in Dubbo and the surrounding area.
Our team of experts
Dr Shahin Nourozi
Dr Jay woodeyar
Dr Sophie Yao
Dr Nourozi moved to Dubbo in 2011 from Gosford, Central Coast. He graduated in 2004 from Tehran University dental school. In 2009 he passed the Australian Dental Council examination at Westmead Hospital. Once in Dubbo he enjoyed the relaxing and quiet lifestyle and set up his new dental practice, Smile Design Centre in 2014.
He has always been a strong believer in continuous education and self-improvement. As a result in 2011 he commenced further study and obtained the qualification of Sydney University Graduate Diploma in Dental Implants. His passion in oral rehabilitation made him focus more on courses in advanced implant surgery, guided bone regeneration and Maxillary sinus lifting in 2015 and 2016. Currently Dr Nourozi is attending multiple CPD courses to bring more knowledge and experience to his patients.
Dr Jay Wodeyar graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a Bachelor of Medical Science followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Prior to joining Smile Design Centre in 2017,
Jay worked at the Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service in Wollongong. His experiences in Wollongong and across his student placements led him to adopt a conservative approach to dentistry that is patient-centred, minimally invasive, and evidence-based.
Jay is strongly committed to furthering his education and training in dentistry and regularly participates in dental courses and conferences across the country.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his family and friends. A self-confessed geek, his interests include ancient history, astronomy, philosophy, and video games.
Dr Sophie grew up and studied in New Zealand. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago where she gained experience treating patients across all ages ranging from simple to complex problems.
After registering with AHPRA which allowed her to practice here in Australia she decided to move to Dubbo for a more relaxing lifestyle.
A pain-free and conservative approach is deeply ingrained into her practice from years of training. She firmly believes that a dental visit isn't just about teeth, but rather a visit to accomodate patients' priorities and preferences.
Having received numerous dental treatment herself she understands what it's like to visit a dentist so she strives to make every visit as comfortable as possible. In her free time she enjoys catching up with friends and family, going to the gym, travelling and volunteering.
